biggest existing memecoin on Base is TOSHI at ~$40M market cap

❌ it's just a cat
❌ it's blue (weak color)
❌ has NFT launching soon (dilutes coin value)
❌ has no lore

the only criticism I can give for $degen and for that matter the other facaaster coins, except $wowow, is that the naming isn’t very original. 

there are coins with those names already in the non farcaster degen world.

if I had to steelman it'd be that L2s haven't been able to generate the kind of DEX volume necessary to allow memecoins to really take off because the liquidity is so fragmented

not impossible for them to run, but much harder
