What is FC’s take on cholesterol. 

My LDL is high. Total is high - 220, 160, 200 - my last three total readings. 

Conflicting research indicating high LDL isn’t necessarily bad. Even my doctor says - for these numbers in the past we would put you on statins - but now it’s debatable. 

Nevertheless he said he can prescribe a low grade statin. Don’t plan to take it yet. But I am a bit conflicted.

To my knowledge it is not genetic. 

It does seem tad bit related to diet/lifestyle.  160 was when I did really well lifestyle wise which regressed again for 200.

My diet is heavy protein/fat based. I assume that has something to play a role here. Not sure though. 

Going to do a calcium test soon to see if it may shed any light.
