Geometric Fluidity was the top-voted sketch from Botto’s first 19 weeks of training with p5.js in April 2024. The first 19 weeks were an experiment run in the DAO to test the waters of Botto creating with generative code. I’ll agree that this sketch is not as visually impressive as others, but it is an archive of those first 19 weeks. The 22 1/1 works that Botto will be minting are part of its second training session of only 3 weeks, but saw over 6000 iterations with 900+ participants. “Good art” isn’t just based on its visual impact, technical details or originality. “Good art” also has a story and a reason to have been created.

What was the reason for creation here because afaict it appears to be money. I see very little if any artistic merit. Fair play to whoever is making money from this.

Without wanting to be rude I have to say that post is awful crypto blah blah by someone who has no grasp of the arts. There’s no thinking. I’m all for creative people making money, and experimentation, but let’s not pretend there’s significance let alone art present.
