Regens – is Nuclear Fusion a core pillar of our sustainable technocentric future? My take is reverse engineering and harnessing the physics of stars, both tiny and massive in form factor, is how we unlock unlimited clean energy both on and off planet ☀️

Fusion isn’t sustainable tech, it’s abundance tech that completely changes the paradigm for all of our scarcity economic models predicated on energy being a limiting factor. Not sure we even have models that allow us to think through its potential. The only drawback is that it won’t be evenly distributed.

Great points. What is behind your distinction between sustainable and abundance tech? Seems like nuclear energy is often not perceived by many to be sustainable possibly because of risks from harmful radiation leaks and potential for misuse / weaponization.
