Why do socks vanish in the laundry? Are they running away to start a new life without me?

I try to unlock my car, but it’s someone else’s car that just happens to look exactly like mine. Cue the awkward shuffle away.

I try to be efficient and carry all the groceries in one trip. By the time I get to the door, my fingers feel like they’re being cut off.

A single sock disappears in the laundry. I stare at the dryer, silently accusing it of theft
