I'm noticing an uptick in communities either leaving or transitioning from Discord as their central place of communication.
Common themes I'm seeing around this decision: 
Discord burnout
privacy issues
lack of proper organization

We transitioned @journodao from discord to telegram earlier this year & its been great for our core (we’re a very small community). We now keep Discord as a “container” & those who wish to join & be active need to interact w/a core member to get TG access. Simple. More fluid. Less noise & chaos.

Yup. Our core is 6 (daily active builders), community is several hundred. We don’t track it. We show up & build weekly. We noticed more “shillers” showing up to town halls, etc when we posted publicly/discord, so we make it harder to participate. Which makes our town halls more rich & engaging for those who come

Good to hear. This level of vetting seems to be necessary to deal with passive vs. active members.
