Craziest part: he was 57 years old when he did it

I would try to chunk things into decade long projects — I have 6 to 7 of those left

I'd probably indulge myself in things that are inherently bad for you but enjoyable (tasty but rich foods etc), and take much greater physical risks

But nothing as crazy as this guy

I spent the first 1/2 (2/5 who knows?) part of life doing things I thought were useful: 
formal education, at the time prestigious jobs, then working on what seemed like important ‘problems’ as a founder

I want to spend the latter part of my years (I’m not that old, its just framing) creating entertaining things

Still puzzling through it but broadly I am prioritizing creativity and doing joyful things over strictly useful things

Been reading, and coming to the conclusion that creation is the only way to stay sane in the long term
