Electro Voice 664 is a 1st generation dynamic microphone made in the USA in the mid-1950s. This microphone is built like a tank and is nicknamed the "Buchanan Hammer" for good reason. Electro Voice's headquarters at the time were in Buchanan, Michigan. Electro Voice co-founder and mic guru Lou Burrows demonstrated the EV 664's durability and reliability by hammering nails into a wooden board with it, then plugging it in to show that it still worked without any problems. π€π¨π₯π¨π€
