Can someone please help me? I want to create a new channel called "Be" but that's already taken. So I thought about expressing it in a japanese character. ChatGPT returned the single character 有(yuu) that means "being" or "existing" I asked my friend EdoLena and she suggested 在(zai) - "The single character "在" feels like a proof of existence or an internet tattoo."

Both "有" and "在" are used to mean "there is something there", but there is a difference between them. "有" often means something is physically there. For example - "机の上にペンが有る" There is a pen on the desk - "今日はテストが有る" There is a test today "在" often expresses existence, and is less commonly used than "ari", but it is used when expressing something that cannot be seen, when you have a strong belief in its existence, or when you want to write in a more literary style. For example - "私には居場所が在る" There is a place for me - "そこにはきっと愛が在る" There is surely love there By the way, when translated, both meanings usually become exist' "有", but "在"is an image used in catchphrases and novels as an expression that conveys some kind of feeling.

Many thanks! Considering the helpful context you provided me, it appears that "在" is the most appropriate for the channel.
