The kicker is the person who gifted it to me already read it and thought it was godawful, leading to this inscription inside the cover

I recently received a copy of The Technological Republic by Alexander C. Karp, inscribed with a humorous note: 'To Katherine, with apologies.' It seems the giver had already read it and wasn't impressed. Despite this, I'm intrigued by the book's themes of tech innovation and national purpose. Karp's arguments about Silicon Valley's cultural challenges and the need for collaboration with government are thought-provoking. I'm curious to see if his ideas will resonate with me, even if they didn't with the person who gifted it.
