We need apps and systems that don't just wedge in a token and distribute/airdrop it to their "community" to serve as exit liquidity for their investors.

Only for the product to die once token is done.

Devs: Start building sustainable products
Users: Get used to paying for them

the interesting thing to me is that I hope people can experiment and find ways to monetize being online without ads

crypto is weird because it doesn't feel like real money to me, but I'm way more willing to spend on stuff because of it

i would prefer micro payments for the web instead of ad garbage everywhere

the early web was more fun, interesting, and weird, but most of that got steamrolled because the main business model that has worked at scale is ads

especially as big platforms struggle with marketers realizing internet ads don't work as well as advertised there's an opening for crypto to fill the micro payments for content niche that never really got figured out at scale
