I reached new levels of home ownership today. Replacing the hardware in our bathrooms took THREE trips to the hardware store instead of the standard two: once to get the hardware, once to return that hardware and get the right size of hardware, and once to get screws to replace the ones that came with the hardware because they were too long and the screws with the old hardware were too long, too, but they worked because the previous hardware didn't go into the door, you see.
