My prayers were answered! A neighbour invited me to raid her apple trees, same as last year 😈

The apples were mostly fallen and bruised, but this summer I'll take what I can get. 

So I spent alllll day today turning apples into apple butter (added the aronia too to use it up, hence the colour). 

I guess that's around 10 kg apples + 2 kg aronia + 3 kg sugar ➡️ ~8 liters of apple butter 🍏

Going to save small jars for gifts, and the big ones will carry us through winter ☺️

I think I'll cast a recipe too, cause I feel like I've perfected the art of apple butter this year ✨

You’ll need to be a regular alchemist  to get
cider right. Otherwise you could end up with hooch, or better yet rocket fuel.

The aforementioned neighbour suggested cider too and even offered her juicer, but I'm not sure I'm ready for the challenge 😁
