The scientific view can help us with the “means” but not the “ends”. Any stance on ethics can only be bolstered by science, but such a stance must grow from a philosophical root.

I guess Christians would say righteousness and Nietzsche would say strength. I probably would have said strength at one time, but presently I'm partial to righteousness
