being a reply guy is still underrated. it’s the best way to start on a new platform, plus starting thoughtful conversations helps you meet incredible people. you should try it.

I was on Twitter when the phrase was coined. It was a put down. Like, the word “groupies” is to women at concerts, “replyguy” was to men on that social media. On here, it’s different. If someone called me a replyguy on X rn I would probably be pretty pissed

i was there too, and i feel that it might have had bad connotations at first, but time gave it a whole new meaning. @threadguy was one of the first 'reply guys' and he’s now one of CT's most known personalities, being terminally onchain and putting out content everyday. it just depends on the person, if the replies are low-effort then yeah, i totally get it.

I’m rethinking hitting the comments. The effort was there, but maybe the timing wasn’t right. I did make some good friends. @nft-murder and I even have an inside joke about how he kidnapped and seduced my dad, who is supposedly is living his live as some sex slave in New Mexico.

$10 says he comments something like “what do you mean ‘inside joke’? BTW, your dad says hi”
