This is also why we come up with kooky ideas like artificial wombs The more time you spend in a world of concepts, the less you remain connected with your body, your primary gateway to physical reality As a result, the concept gains power over reality (with negative concepts, we call this trauma) https://x.com/IamProHuman/status/1907454905692135457

Wild animals are probably in a constant state of triggered PTSD, except it's actually adaptive for them because their environment is legitimately dangerous at every turn and gives them a survival advantage (Talking out of my ass, zero evidence to support this opinion, treat as you will)

Disagree -- wild animals tend to rest and experience lower baseline levels of cortisol than we do. Because they can enter and exit those states far more effectively than we can. The human mind tends to linger on problems for longer than strictly necessary
