anon launches hit best when they target an existing community, product and attract instant buy-in from good contributors. Otherwise there's really no one in charge to steer the wheel in the right direction. ofc a fun meme can always fly and turn into a community and more when there is a launchpad, token ethusiastic community (in the right timezone) waiting to bid.
