Yahoo completely disappeared from my radar. there was a time in the nascent web2 world when Yahoo bought the cool companies like Flickr, del.icio.us, Upcoming, and later MyBlogLog. they had all the components to form THE social media company. but they didn't. a sequence of awful decisions followed.

they acquired so many good services that so many ppl loved to use but couldn't connect the dots (╥_╥) instead, the got the reputation of being a death warrant for anything the took over
