I have this little tradition where I surprise my friend with takeout Korean Fried Chicken and watermelon granita, but this time, we decided to go in person. She’s obsessed with fried chicken, especially Korean fried chicken, so I took her to my favorite spot in NYC. 

We brought along the cat, and ended up sitting on folded seats, halfway in the trunk, hunched over our chicken, just chatting and catching up while the cat dozed off. It was one of those simple, cozy moments that I’ll hold onto forever. 💖
