Would that make any sense though? In all the instances you mentioned, the crimes were committed after capital had already been allocated, meaning that the founders were not criminals at the time they were funded so you would just be punishing the VC for doing their job.

No that’s for prosecution. They don’t need to go to jail or be prosecuted. But they are clearly not up to the task of capital allocation if they fund a criminal. They can do a different job
