just said this, they sold the experience. Tim Cook sells the product now. Steve Jobs knew how to sell what the product could do for you. That’s why Tim Cook has Apple make commercials like that last one where they’re destroying stuff. He doesn’t understand the vision.

Jobs knew how to connect you to the experience, Apple’s greatest marketing campaign, “Think Different” - the one responsible for reviving the company does not mention the technology, I don’t think even once. Marketing at its best is about connecting with customers not making a sales pitch.
