The majority of the world’s perceived problems today boil down to one thing: Tech progress has moved faster in the past 40 years than our collective society can adapt. PC, internet, mobile, crypto/AI… That’s like 4 industrial revolutions in 40 years.

Most Casters are optimists, as am I, so we know that these are great things. Wikipedia, Google Maps, Zoom, Uber, Amazon…have all massively improved quality of life. But if you’re not comfortable with change or are stuck in an older way of thinking, it’s super scary.

I agree. I describe it as people who feel like they are living in quicksand. And it is so important that we find a way to get better at embracing change. Without that kneejerks threaten to pull us backwards as a society.
