What's your most controversial take on Threads? Mine: Really interesting to see text content from my IG social graph, which is mainly old friends, influencers, and meme accounts. Not sure if it's good or bad (probably bad) but makes you realize how different your algo is across different social apps.

mine: threads will do more to change microblogging platform futures than decentralized social apps just because of the shear size of their network. it will show regular folk that there are other viable options. and open the floodgates for more innovation and awareness. a good thing for the DeSoc space imo.

Good only because we are beginning to merge between the good and bad if different types of graphs. Personally donโt care to have another app, but I am going to use it because I want to trickle the things Iโve learned in Farcaster to a different audience that is not familiar with this part of world.

They should merge it with the Instagram app. Now, that would be a bold move. The only reason threads interest me is that my irl friends don't use twitter. I was hoping this would get them to use such platforms, but I don't see much excitement about it.

My controversial take is that I like it and I want it to succeed.

It seems refreshing coming from a group of people who did not design for text. I feel text and picture together is unsolved, and am curious to see how they unite both forms.

Iโm only okay with it without ads. Once ads come into play, Iโll give it less attention.
