I will probably try it for a month before jumping to the annual subscription. I mean I will definitely take the 20% discount specially if it is worth the price. Aside from that, what I like on annual subscription is you don't need to pay every month for it so you don't have nothing to worry about

Does cancelling trigger a pro-rated refund? Is there a trial beforehand? I'd want to know I'm actually going to use it before shelling out the amount for an annual rate, even with 20%.

Also depends on how easy the cancelation process is. Some companies are notorious for burying this info or making it nearly impossible to execute

For sure If I could opt out at anytime I would take this deal seeing as annual memberships are always discounted compared to monthly and the main pull to monthly is the option of being able to stop at your own discretion. So seems to me a no brainer to take the anual sub with anytime opt out feature ๐ค
