potentially hot take (and i'm guilty of this too, i've done it, and now i will try to no longer do it): the more i see "answer my generic question and i'll tip you in degen" the more it feels like "i'll pay you to be my friend" energy

I generally offer to tip when asking for links or complex/technical questions. To me, it's at most a simple bounty. And at a minimum, a way of being polite for someone taking the time to link me / explain something. A hat tip if you will. šŸŽ©

makes sense as a ~bounty (and that's when i will use it too), makes less sense for social interactions or with generic questions
