As I'm onboarding new friends I'm noticing that most of them will only ever interface with "Warpcast" Brings up an interesting topic where the name feels distinctly different from "Farcaster" I imagine if I told someone who DL'ed Warpcast they were "on FC" they would probably have no clue what I'm talking about.

I briefly explain to anyone I’ve onboarded that Warpcast is the client but they don’t seem to care much. I think to the casual user that differentiation doesn’t matter. They download Warpcast, use Warpcast, so it’s Warpcast to them. But I agree with your point.

could be okay. if users are just using USDC on Daimo, does it matter if they know what's Base / Ethereum / etc.

I remember when the Warpcast app was called Farcaster, but I believe @dwr.eth and the team decided to change it to Warpcast to separate it from the protocol to avoid confusion from the opposite perspective. I feel your point though.

Yeah that’s fair but I actually think it’s important for understanding the true value of the ecosystem in the long run I know people are already concerned about the overlap between the fc protocol and Warpcast, so I think it’s good to bifurcate them I just try to emphasize the difference as I onboard them haha
