The most common sentiment these days is that 99% of crypto needs to be under the hood. We’ve said this for a while but feels like it’s actually happening now more than ever.

Huge problem to abstracting web3 stuff is on-ramping ppl. When it's time to get ppl to buy crypto through an on-ramp provider, the process is so slow cus of kyc and clunky on-ramping ui.

Yes and it seems like we're still thin on things that really leverage crypto rails to do normal world things materially better than the old way. Just starting to see those pop up.

I think once crypto is fully “under the hood” we will probably be at a stage where one ecosystem is already in monopoly position as the default

Agree. We've been building infrastructure for the last 14 years. Now it's time to build apps. Farcaster is the first great example for that.

Is the way for that major adoption, we've been doing it with tiike for event tickets and people don't event notice they are using blockchain. Most people only care about the value and experience they get, not what is under the hood

A lot of products simplify the registration process and hide all blockchain routine from users. Do we acquire more users? - Yes Do these users understand value of web 3.0? - Often no.

💯💯Optional email onboarding seems like it’s getting more acceptance too, which will help bring in a larger crowd….

First narrative I can really get behind. The level of detail an average crypto user has to know vs. someone in traditional monetary system is crazy.

Keeping crypto under the hood makes it easier to onboard normies who are conditioned by mainstream media to think of crypto as a casino / scam.
