One thing I'm noticing about Base tokens is that yes the meme has to be good but there needs to be a serious team and intention behind it for it to have staying power. Whereas Solana memecoins are entirely about the meme - Base tokens feel like there needs to be more than just the meme.

Also I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that. There is something really poetic about Solana memecoins and how closely coupled they are to mainstream meme culture. It's nice to see different chains having unique value props to different token founders.

All the meme hunters have moved to Solana for the cheap transactions and crazy return on memes there. For them to move back to eth/L2s, there has to be some reason other than cheap transactions or large % gains. Probably will be that Solana gets so saturated with new memes (as it is already starting to get)

yes, the xtof flippening could be something. I think the next meme opportunity will leverage frame. It provides an interaction that's impossible with X. So moving out from X or testing farcaster will have two bonus: $ and digital interaction

Agreed. Fart collapsed on Solana. Probably could have survived on Base. Degen is full blown utility token now and could see it blowing up a year from now when DAU numbers explode here.
