Crazy that the cost to transact on L2 right now is ~$1.

I know 4844 will change this very soon but feel like the vision being sold for L2 was "free and instant" and we're already starting to see fees become a meaningful blocker prior to a real bull market starting.

Praying we don't run back outrageous tx fees again.

The main value prop of L2 is to enable transactions that are not possible on L1.

For example - collecting a song for $2.

If the cost to transact is $1 - that become very noticeable and small "fun" actions won't happen as much.

Plus - sponsored transactions go more towards gas than towards the actual mint.
