this feels counterintuitive to my experience on WC - casts are more relevant, less noise, bots or token spams. Folks seem to be vibing and shipping more which is great. My gut feel is that changes to how $degen worked helped reduce the number of spam/bot related posts and reactions resulting in the decline

We need to get back to basics What got Farcaster here in the first place? For me personally, bots are too annoying. Not sure how to battle that tho… The cool thing about social products is that it isn’t that hard for people to come back

The activity is very dependent on Tipping and we have made it a privilege for few profiles. The activity continues to be mainly in these groups. Imho this stats are miss leading.. The drop in users is mainly bots and people who were here to exclusively farm degen Thx to the new algo both kinda gave up I see it in my casts.. vibes are high, real people are still here, builders keep building. And i even see new users from time to time

looking into the data, it seems like while overall cast count is down from the peak, the number of distinct users who cast each day isn't really (generally an up and to the right chart). Generally points to fewer singular accounts dominating cast/reaction activity -> activity becoming more dispersed across the network

It's just a different platform for me since I got the power badge. I think, especially for new users, it's a bit excluding to not be seen until you have the power badge. It sometimes feels like you're an “elite” and without the power badge you're just a pawn.

idk about this graph and ppl say fc is dead but yesterday I completed a month here and I can say it fc is not dead. everyone here is extremely positive and willing to help in anyway possible! maybe because lately, we see fewer bots and spam but iam loving it here and will keep on doing this!

FC is fine, but I think WC has a problem. Especially preferential treatment for power badge holders. Accounts that have been manually shadowbanned in the past will not be able to hold the power badge forever (unless it is lifted) no matter how active they are. So the number of active users will decrease.
