I would recommend checking out what @musicben is doing with his Ziggy Ziggy Limited series.

I think the natural evolution of this is that open editions have secondary markets and market caps so that instead of a limited edition selling out there's just a price that increases with demand over time!

Yes - and - maybe allow collectors of limited editions add some story, lore, images etc. of how s song unfluenced their lives before they sell it on on the secondary market. A cultural history would compound...

Surely gonna check that out and the idea of secondary market is really thoughtful going to be a gamechanger.
