Here is how I explain it to friends today. “I develop for a niche segment of the internet where users exchange payments for digital content, services, and experiences. In this ecosystem, users use a wallet similar to an internet cookie. Instead of tracking individual user behavior for private viewing, this "internet cookie" publicly records buying behavior. This approach aligns with GDPR and privacy rights by providing a transparent, publicly accessible alternative.”

Yeah, the stigma around it has tainted all of these words. I even cringe when I see them in the wild. It gives me the "oh here we go" feeling lol
