Crypto natives will pay for convenience. Just used relay.link to bridge and saw the fee for "instant" was ~$100. This made more sense to me than waiting for the typical bridging process which would take an unknown amount of time. Powerful lesson in there for founders.

I disagree. Bridging needs to be invisible, seamless. I'd rather pay $100 as a subscription to relay, but never as a flat fee. bridges are user hotspot for exploration and not a 'end-product'. driving revenue should be purely based of units of economics and not charging insane bridge fee.

I respect that opinion. As someone who's used like 10 different bridges at this point I just accept that there is a bridge fee. Also bullish for the underlying tokenomics if there is a fee to bridge and at that point becomes a branding game. Coinbase charges $1k for instant withdraw to fiat so this feels fine to me

One of my best takeaways from my work at bungee.exchange was People use third party bridges to quickly, cheaply onboard/offboard Given relay in this scenario, degen, base, zora in general are relatively new so charging extra money diminishes adoption. I’m a lil bummed out because im an exploration maxi :P
