Private key management is easily the most confusing part of crypto. Having to understand what super long strings of numbers are for and how they're different from the 16 words is so challenging. Pair that with how it interacts with Coinbase, FC and DEGEN and its clear we still have a super long ways to go.

I think custodial wallets would be very useful for onboarding. Easy, frictionless. Then people can take self custody at their own pace as they learn and dive deeper into the rabbit hole. Self custody from the start is challenging and definitely a barrier. Not to mention risky.

Couldnโ€™t agree more. As someone whoโ€™s more recently come onchain (within the last 18 months), it is pretty clear to me that itโ€™s still not ready for >90% of the population. Most people donโ€™t have the time or incentive to do it as it is rn

To achieve mass adoption, I believe the potential will be unlocked with support from iOS and Android, where private keys are going to managed by iCloud just like passwords
