Have a lot of respect for founders that are staying heads down vs doing the relentless crypto conference circuit. I find myself in an interesting paradigm where I clearly see the value of spreading brand awareness but also recognize the lack of productivity from stepping outside my routine. No one right way to do it!

This is the exact reason I didn't attend Denver *and* why long stay pop-up cities like Zuzalu makes sense to me. Best of both worlds!

Have to strike a balance, it's a distraction from shipping product but I've also met other people at conferences that have completely changed the trajectory of our company so it's silly to completely dismiss the value of conferences as well

As someone who’s done both in TradFi and Crypto, there’s a time and place to do the circuit. IMO it’s usually beneficial to people early in their careers or in a sales/pitch mindset. If you don’t fall into either, you’re probably just there for the fun and social parts (not a problem, just the truth)

First build, then promote, repeat ;) conference is a great way to get feedback. Chopping down the product into smaller chunks and then go to conference with clear goal. Only with clear goal. There is still fomo, but hey, Will have something ready to ship for when you all come back ;)

Totally with you on this. It's a real challenge balancing brand visibility with staying productive. There's no one size fits all approach either.

Professional Chefs have the same dilemma, there’s people on either extreme too. Ones chasing celebrity clout and only doing tv/conferences/interviews and ones eschewing all media to perfect their craft(ship) and customer experience(UX). I think there’s no right or wrong way, as long as the business is thriving.
