I swear crypto people act like all of this isn't extremely complicated and insane to the average person. It's literally like learning an new language and an entirely new set of tools to match. My life is onchain but it's wild to think we're at a place where most people could hang.

bro it's simple just sign up to coinbase buy ethereum create a metamask wallet send the ethereum from coinbase to metamask then bridge the ethereum to a layer 2 called base then swap that on uniswap for a token called $degen then get a referral and join farcaster connect your wallet and comment $30 degen to tip

Best reality check is to personally onboard someone every once in a while. I’ll be getting my 73 y/o mother on to fc tomorrow, who I onboarded to crypto last cycle and is fairly literate - but now I need to show her how to bridge eth to base, how to buy on a DEX, etc. so she can keep up. There are so many barriers.

Yeah there seems to be a degree of forgetfulness about how much there is to learn with even just setting up a wallet for the first time. Took 2 hrs of video calls to onboard a normie the other day. Worth it. Big agree.

Yea even when I talk to people who just “hold” crypto on an exchange like Coinbase they still get lost quick if I start actually talking about what crypto/blockchain is. A lot more education is needed
