Pretty crazy to me the way we track referral rewards for mints is through a URL and not directly onchain. I have no clue what this looks like but feels broken that the way a mint fee is redirected is based on if you use the correct link someone shares or not. Feels like a lot of design space to improve this.

The url just passes the params that get used in the mint function? The referral is (typically) onchain Or did you mean this another way?

On farcaster there should be a frame the handles referrals with one of the buttons to show on chain tracking stats. Iβm sorry I canβt build it.

Perhaps to have the option would suffice The only argument I have for that is cost efficiency. Writing small strings of information is not cost effective. Definitely a question to ask a few times π

referrals include solving for 1) who referred the new user 2) did they complete referral 2 is possible completely on- chain. 1 is tricky since most sources of communication b/w 2 users is web2 today & interacting with smart contracts means complex oracles in the middle. Native to Farcaster , this could be possible.
