Feel like one of the biggest unanswered questions is how to make FC the true home for all crypto-related convos over Twitter. Right now Twitter has a very distinctly different focus (for better or worse) and the two platforms have unique audiences. Very curious how this unfolds in the next 12 months.

NPCs/spam aside, my feeling is FC is more focused on the medium term stuff, and quite heavy on builders/founders. Twitter is definitely more focused on the short term stuff, and trader-centric.

It's interesting because I've never really 'mastered' CT so for me Farcaster feels like the natural way to do it. Feel like this will be the case with lots of new people coming into the space this cycle. Maybe that's how we beat Twitter.

I think key will be in how we can tie our farcaster profiles to the apps we end up using. If your social score can boost points or rewards on where you are there's incentive to be on FC rather than Twitter. Twitter only got as far as the verified NFTs, but farcaster has far more potential and it seems with actions/etc

I hope that Farcaster becomes the true home for all conversations(.) and that the crypto channel on Warpcast thrives within that.

I am reading Chris Dixon's "Read Write Own" + this passage stuck out for me, talking about the fundamental protocol DNS + trad social media. >> you cannot automatically "redirect" >> you lose your network I believe when more crypto people start to REALLY get this, we will see the conversations blossom here.

Coming from more than 10 years on twitter, I've been 24 h in farcaster and with spaces and a bit of sharpening I'd pick WC with my eyes closed every time. Infinite bots, scams (all ads are also scams), and huge loads of irrelevant information macro shaping my algo Effects of a platform whose target market is everyone

Yes! Also curious what you think are their distinct focus & audiences (have a hypothesis but would like to learn what others think)

If your social media platform appeals to only one type of audience, it will just become a big echo chamber where no one disagrees with you and no real progress is made.

Feels so peaceful here. No perfect, but biggest challenge in my opinion, is to keep the culture based on less ego. And hopefully we won't get flooded with videos, memes, random commercial posts etc. My brain hurts just opening X.

Good question. I suspect the bias/filter that comes from being built on Etherium will keep a very large portion of tribally aligned CT away in the near term. Even the Solana wallet integration doesn’t seemed to have brought many sol folks over. I don’t see that changing in~12mo, but who knows?

Live audio would help! Clubhouse was a huge onboarding moment, and twitter spaces somehow completely lost the spirit. Other than that, I think it's simply just breaking the habit of using Twitter. Thankfully most folks follow the vibes, and as such, should end up here.
