Best part of this whole free mint meta is that collectors don’t expect anything in return. No utility, no merch - just good music. Underrated what this means for lowering the pressure for artists to enter the space and deliver “value” to their holders.

It’s bad for artists TBH. Expectation is now for creators to giveaway everything for free in order to gain traction.

"Free" mints have basically normalized at 0.000777 ETH across every major platofrm - the majority of which is going to the creator. Collecting something for a few bucks with no expectation of anything in return actually feels pretty good to me

The whole point of art was to collect without expectation. Only web3 created this false sense of price pumping from creators. So now creators are left holding the bag of selling everything for a few bucks. Which is why creators are leaving web3, not joining.
