1 human 1 vote. This, in my opinion, is the way a DAO needs to be structured(not all DAOs but most). We just keep giving the people with the most money, the most power. Which ya know....most people will disagree with if you ask them....but then we bake it into our systems of governance anyway....why do we keep shooting ourselves in the foot and then pretend that it is someone else's fault? When will we hold ourselves accountable? All power to all the people. β

Agree 1 token = 1 vote should be the norm for non-financial DAOs

Couldn't agree more. DAOs have so much overlap with co-op models but are able to move much quicker thanks to what Web3 tech provides. Token-weighted voting feels like traditional cap table shareholder influence. Great, if the goal is to iterate on corporate power structures, but feels aligned with the general values DAOs champion.

as someone whos been running a fully democratic DAO for 4 years, i can tell you its not ideal either... maybe if it was highly curated, it would be good, otherwise you end up with people who are even less incentivized to vote for good outcomes than the bagholders :/
