Seeing lots of people on Twitter dunk on this new law in Australia preventing children under 16 from using social media. What do you think?

Personally I think it makes sense based on what we know about social media right now. It’s also a long-game culture change. Kids still smoked cigarettes after they were illegal but slowly their use was reduced.

I would imagine that’s the point tbh Right now if you just refuse to give your kid a phone and all their peers have them and are on social platforms they’d be missing important social context when interacting with them. So it’s necessary to shift the norm if you want to do anything about it https://warpcast.com/cooki/0x450064fc
