This year, I built... As a writer, I have employed my abilities to engage a variety of audiences with Base's objective of promoting innovation and creating a worldwide onchain economy. With the launch of my blog, "Building Base Together," and the creation of impactful content, I successfully integrated new users into the ecosystem. In addition to advancing my career, working with @baseafrica and the larger community has inspired my plans for 2025. This journey has been inspired and supported by @base teams and supporters, for which I am especially grateful. I am so excited for you all to see what I have planned for 2025. Stay tuned! This year I built I got introduced to the base community by @itsthankk who helped in explaining the basic knowledge and fundamentals of base. I also learnt on how to create a warpcast account and was also introduced to so many other base enthusiast like @kokocodes and @iamcharis through twitter spaces and YouTube live. I also created a zora.com account and also wrote articles concerning the base ecosystem on mirror.xyz which I used in enlightening others about how base can be important to the local community. I'm really pleased to be part of this great community and I hope year 2025 will be more of a better year than the previous year and hope that the base community will expand even further more than last year.

Iā€™m grateful to be part of this amazing platform and proud to have shared what I built last year. When the "What Did You Build This Year?" reward challenge was announced, I was excited to showcase my work and earn something to help me grow in 2025. At first, my earnings were low but gradually increased, reaching 0.0368. This gave me hope and motivation. But the next day, my earnings dropped drastically to 0.0030 and kept reducing to 0.0011. Despite following the guidelines, sharing my story with pride, and even creating a short video, I feel disheartened and unsure if my work is being valued. The reward means so muchā€”not just as recognition, but to fund future projects and build with purpose in 2025. This year I built: šŸš€Hosted and cohosted 5+ and 35+ @base X spaces with @kokocodes. šŸš€Cofounded @baseafrica and grew it to 4,500+ active members across all platforms. šŸš€Oraganized four successful events across Nigeria, Ghana, and SouthAfrica. šŸš€Launched a Based Africa chapter in SouthAfrica. šŸš€Onboarded 200+ builders to @base. šŸš€Gifted 100+ Warpcast accounts. šŸš€Produced my first movie with @ophirkaycee, minted it onchain @zora and got 500+ mints. šŸš€Gave out 500+ Basenames. šŸš€Co-presented the Based Africa Buildathon, got over 280 registrations and 7 winning projects in Africa. šŸš€Got globally recognized; was featured on @jobanetwork. Got a Base Builder Grant as a reward for my impacts and was awarded @onboard global builder of the week. šŸš€Built a Base onchain community card game to increase community participation & engagement.
