Would love some feedback. Goal is to expand these ideas to a book and some simulations over the next year. https://paragraph.xyz/@mirrorandloom/the-observer-paradox

Just read your piece, Leo. Very readable and easily understandable even for a noob like me :) are you planning to explore the observer paradox in all different areas and from different points of view? Is that the ultimate goal of your book? What motivated you? I’m really looking forward to the next part!

Thank you so much for taking the time! In essence, yes, researching now how novel it is, inspired yet different from what Wolfram is doing. I have a framework in mind that may be a kind of theory. Not sure if trying to formalize it (like math and simulations) vs just explain it. (Defining something as a theory is a sure way to bring out the haters, lol), but for now I'm calling in a kind of Pattern Compression theory. But, yes, showing how the same basic thing happens across scales, Biology, AI, brains, etc.

And who’s your targeted audience? I think researching all different areas could be really cool, including adding AI, that’s your novelty right there. Honestly I really like the way you explain things, it’s easily understandable. Are you planning a philosophical point of view too??

Audience i guess is technical scientific. Same kind of people who would read Godel, Escher Bach. Or even economic non-fiction. (Good example of the process is how VCs want to invest in a company that “solves one unique problem well” (a kind of pattern compression) that can then be expanded. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gödel,_Escher,_Bach
