After a custom config change on Friday at 11 AM PT, two Conduit chains, Degen and Proof of Play’s Apex, stopped posting batches for more than 24 hours. Upon resuming, the first batches triggered reorgs on both chains. We’re working with both teams and Offchain Labs to restore service and minimize impact to users.

Our immediate priority is our rollup teams and their users. We’re working with each team to determine the best path forward given their needs. Conduit has snapshots and the full transaction history for both chains. Currently, nodes for both chains are resyncing from genesis.

We will share a detailed post-mortem outlining our decisions and a timeline of events. This config change was validated on testnet before rolling out to mainnets. This thread is our only official source for updates.

Update: Nodes for Degen and ProofofPlay Apex have resynced from genesis. We’re now coordinating with the rollup teams on the next steps to get their networks back online.

Well if no one else is gonna say it… @conduit y’all could probably communicate these updates in a more effective manner and work with chain communities to make sure the message gets out. Replying to a thread isn’t a proper way to communicate progress fixing major outages. No exceptions.
