When we die, I think we may reach a time that obituaries are written by AI and can go through all your content, published works, and interactions on social media to write an obituary summary on your achievements, personality, etc.

but there's something nice about having a real person review your life and write about it. i'd like to be judged by another living feeling human rather than an impersonal ai.

burden is a harsh word - it's an honor to reflect and write an obituary.

i can get having an ai assistant but if i could wave my hand and make a wish i'd want every obituary to be at least edited by a human

I agree but I also like the idea of dying without being a burden LOL I think of this more so as a comment on how convenient it would be to have the ability to press one button and get a summary! It’s of course always nice to know people who knew you in person and cared for you … but even better to know before you die 😂
