Small improvement for Warpcast cast URLs: image previews When you share a link to a cast on Twitter or in a messaging app, it will now have a readable preview of the cast.

@cmlad.eth how was this implemented? Vercel OG?

In the Warpcast embed tester the images don't show up, so I'm curious how this was implemented:

For Warpcast sharing Warpcast URLs are treated as a "quote cast" at this time, hence it won't have the new Open Graph previews. @cmlad.eth can share more about how the images are generated (we are not using the Vercel service).

Makes sense, thanks. Would love to be able to turn Warpcast URLs into the share image on Paragraph; could be an easy workaround instead of building the full FC embed ourselves. I tried extracting OG tags but none were present.

If you make a request to our servers with a proper Bot tag it should give you the output with all Open Graph tags. Alternatively (not recommended) you can access to the image tags by parsing results from the SSR path — https://ssr.warpcast.com/colin/0x2371e204.

Any concern for using your OG generation URL directly? eg - https://client.warpcast.com/v2/og-image?castHash=0xe9191a4e24a1ff1506b68bda1f8ad6ff12821800

Go for it. But I'd recommend wrapping it with your own image cache provider so that you don't have to rely on our endpoint after its generated once.
