@colin how do you actually calculate the time people spend reading, i kind of love the metric a lot. but I am probably reading too much into it, but I find it very attractive, hey I made people spend 2 hours on my thoughts...

We calculate it by tracking how long people are 'active' on your page (eg, moving a mouse, scrolling, etc). We have some timeout upon which they're inactive and we stop counting (so they can still read briefly and be counted, without scrolling). We sum this all up, across all users, as the 'reading time' metric.
