For a while I was running a raspberry pi with homeassistant to automate my smarthome: turn on/off lights when I’m home, etc. Now just rely on Google Home for this.

for the camping bot -- did you use selenium or another headless browser testing library?

They use neither; surprisingly recreation.gov has an API they query with a fake useragent.

I've camped >3 times using that bot - works well!

I dig old computers and used bookstores. 

I modified that repo to send a message to my personal slack channel. I gotta go in and reserve it urgently, but recreation.gov holds reservations for you for 15 mins after beginning the checkout flow
