It depends on what kind of attachment we are talking about... For example, an anxious type of attachment is people who want intimacy, but are afraid of being abandoned. They may forget about their own desires in order to please their partner. They often worry and manipulate... It is better to avoid such attachment

Completely correct, I had such a sad experience with an abuser, even to psychosomatics. But overall, the words of the Dalai Lama (this quote is attributed to him) reflect interpersonal relationships as a necessary spiritual aspect of our harmonious existence, it seems to me.
