First book I finished this year (this morning but I started reading it last week 😁). A beautiful novel about the later years of the great composer always torn between melancholy, self-doubt and enthusiasm. If you like Tchaikovsky, you'll like this book. On a separate note, I find it fascinating that the Mann family gave us three great German authors in quick succession. (Thomas, Heinrich, Klaus).
